Do I need therapy?
Therapy may aid personal growth, education, skill building, healing past trauma, resolving current conflict, improving relationships, grieving past and current situations and a plethora of other areas. There is no one purpose for therapy, nor one size fits all.
What kind of therapy do I need?
Research has shown that the therapeutic alliance between therapist and client is more important to treatment success than the applied modality. Lori is primarily psychodynamically* oriented, but integrates a variety of approaches (object relations, cognitive behavioral, EMDR, gestalt, and more) while working with clients.

How long will it take?
Treatment time varies depending on client goals, needs and commitment. Unlike groups and workshops, which have a specific begin and end date, personal therapy unravels at a pace dictated by an individual's psyche and unconscious. Lori incorporates unique tools for measuring progress into her treatment protocol.
Will there be pain involved?
It is normal to feel nervous when beginning something new! Lori is skilled at creating a relaxed and nurturing environment to put clients at ease while doing their work. Part of Lori's work with clients is getting them comfortable with the uncomfortable, which expands the options and opportunities for a rich and fulfilling life.
What issues are addressed?
